Miranda is a Janesville, Wisconsin native, and she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications in 2016. After graduation, Miranda moved out East to explore a sales career with Nestle, but after missing her home state, she relocated back to Madison and joined Baker Tilly Search & Staffing. Currently, Miranda supports operational initiatives on her team including internal recruitment, social media, and other marketing efforts. In her free time, Miranda enjoys trying new restaurants, cooking new recipes, and hanging out with her cat, Poppy! Miranda's first exposure to Habitat was in college where she traveled to Immokalee, Florida to help build homes over the course of a week. Since then, she has served in a few roles on the Habitat Young Professionals board, and she looks forward to serving Habitat and Dane County in the future!


Colleen Peters | Vice President and Communications | communication@hypdanecounty.org

Colleen was raised in the "Northwoods" of Wisconsin and graduated from St. Norbert College in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in English. She currently works as the University of Wisconsin Foundation as a Marketing Coordinator. Previously, Colleen worked at Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity as the Program and Marketing Manager. In this role, she helped the organization spread awareness about their mission and impact through social media, public relations and marketing.Upon moving to Madison, Colleen wanted to stay involved with Habitat and help spread awareness about the great work of the organization and connected with the Dane County HYP Board. She is excited to continue her journey with this great organization.

Bekah Boswein | Finance Chair | finance@hypdanecounty.org

Bekah grew up just south of Sheboygan in a small town called Oostburg. She attended UW-Whitewater, where she received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting. Bekah is a CPA currently working at BDO USA, LLP on the west side of Madison as an auditor. When she is not working, you can find her spending time with her friends, trying new restaurants in the greater Madison area, or hanging out with her fur baby, Gracie! Bekah became involved with Habitat while in college where she participated in build days. Once she began her career in Madison, one of her co-workers who has a board member invited her to a HYP event, and she’s been hooked ever since!

Elizabeth grew up just south of Madison in Beloit, WI. She attended UW-Madison studying Human Development and Family Studies and is currently a Pre-K teacher in the Madison area. Elizabeth is passionate about helping others and was seeking a way to become more involved in the Madison community. Although she is new to Habitat for Humanity she believes firmly in their mission to provide everyone with a decent place to live. In her free time she enjoys trying new restaurants in Madison, reading and spending time outdoors.

Kylie Trudeau | Membership Chair | membership@hypdanecounty.org

Kylie grew up 40 minutes south of Madison, in nearby Janesville, WI. In search of a larger workplace and a larger community, Kylie moved to Madison in 2016 upon joining the team at a local risk management and insurance agency, Hausmann-Johnson Insurance. Here, Kylie works as a small commercial insurance consultant and account manager. You can also find Kylie welcoming guests to The Comedy Club on State one night a week, where she works as a hostess. Having gained an interest in volunteering through opportunities with her workplace, Kylie began seeking out additional ways to benefit her community and found a young professionals group to be an appealing option. With a stand out vision and mission like Habitat for Humanity’s, Kylie was all in on joining Habitat for Young Professionals.

Colin grew up right here in Middleton, WI. He graduated from University of Wisconsin - Madison with a double major in Real Estate and Finance. Shortly after graduation, Colin found a job he loves, working in Property Management and Development at McGrath Property Group. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, running, traveling, and hanging out with his friends. He lives downtown and loves the summers in Madison. He is eager to begin his journey with Habitat and is looking forward to serving the community for many years to come!

Alison is a Madison area native. She graduated from UW-Madison in 2012 with a Bachelors in Science, with a focus of Entomology. After getting her degree in her hobby, she decided it was time to make a career choice and joined her mother, JoAnn, a Realtor of 30 years. Alison and JoAnn have been within the top 10 of Stark Company Realtors since 2012. Alison loves going to build days to help give to those in need, and to increase her knowledge of how homes are built, to better educate her clients. She also loves meeting and getting to know new people who have big hearts and also want to give to the community!

Megan grew up in Edina, MN, which is a suburb of Minneapolis. She graduated from UW-Stout in 2018 with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing & Sales. Megan moved to Madison, WI after graduation and currently works for Hausmann-Johnson Insurance, where she is an associate in the large commercial department. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, spending time outdoors, and traveling. Megan is passionate about helping others and giving back to the community, and was looking for a way to do this as she is newer to the Madison area. One of her coworkers introduced her to Habitat for Young Professionals, and she knew it would be a good fit!

Dan grew up in Iowa City, Iowa. He went to the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND studying Visual Arts and Education. After living in North Dakota for 8 years and South Dakota for 2 he moved to Madison, Wi to work for the UW - Madison. Dan currently works with the SOAR program at UW - Madison. When not working, Dan is busy enjoying the outdoors here in Madison or the surrounding countryside with his Dog. He is also active in volunteering with the Cross Fit Games and Ironman Wisconsin.
